I have a really exciting review for you all! A couple of weeks ago an awesome Etsy shop sent me the coolest items. The shop is called Gennhaio and honestly I’m completely obsessed. Everything is priced perfectly and everything is made out of vegan leather. There’s a variety of pouches, travel bags, handbags, and even key fobs. I was sent out a lovely pouch and and the cutest key fob! Also the packaging was amazing!

I can’t wait to start using the pouch especially for the spring. I think it’s the perfect time to use something like this in such a fresh color. My favorite part about it is the shape. It’s so different from anything I have now. I’m actually thinking about using it as a clutch for an upcoming vacation with Cory. But it would also be great for traveling.

Definitely check out Gennhaio to treat yourself to some goodies.

The key fob is so cute and I actually really needed one. I love how unique the designs

Veganism+Being Kind

I’m a firm believer that whatever you do, you should do it with love. Nothing done in hate makes love. I think it’s amazing that we all live different lives. We love differently, and we see the world differently. You can totally be passionate about something without hurting others. Without shaming others. Without attacking others. You can share your beliefs without putting others down.

I’m not a vegan, but lately I have thought about switching to a vegetarian diet. I like to do my research on these things. I like to understand what I’m getting myself into. So as of right now nothing is set in stone. But as I was doing my research I found a lot of bashing going on. A lot of fat shaming, a lot of unkindness. This made me sad because I know people who are vegetarians/vegans and they are so kind. I could only imagine someone completely new to the community who got turned off from it and decided not to do it.

You absolutely can not force your views on others, you can only give out the information and hope your message gets across. Fat shaming is completely wrong! Any type of body shaming is wrong!

Not every vegetarian and vegan is mean and abusive. You can’t generalize a whole group of people.

I found some amazing people who are vegetarians, vegans, or just healthy eaters. It’s your life, do what feels right to you.

I didn’t write this to put anyone down, I just what to make sure you all know that you don’t deserve abuse for being different. People are allowed to share their opinions, but they are not allowed to put you down.

I’ll keep you all updated on my vegetarian journey if I choose to do it, and of course feel free to comment.

Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask+Review

I am so excited to be working with Valentia again( thank you Valentia and Brandbacker) ! This time they sent me their new Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask! I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the best mask I have ever used!. I honestly don’t even know where to start. Smell is really important to me so that’s what I notice first. It smells so good guys! I can’t really describe it but it kind of has a light fruit fragrance to it. Not a candy fruit smell but more of a delicate one. It has hibiscus and cranberry fibers in it so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. But I’ll talk about those two ingredients in a bit.

This contains kaolin clay which is great for detoxing your face. It pulls out all of stuff none of us want in our pores. Not only does it clean out your pores it smooths your skin and makes it firmer. I’ve noticed this immediately after use, but that is only me speaking from my own experiences.  Plant stem cells is another key ingredient. This ingredient soothes your face from any irritations. We all know about spirulina and how it gives you a boost of moisture.

The mask also includes CoQ10, this helps with wrinkles. Astaxanthin is an antioxidant that makes your skin bright and clear of any signs of aging.

Now to my favorite ingredients the cranberry and hibiscus fibers. They’re my favorite because not only is this just a mask but if you remove the mask with circular motions it exfoliates as well. The fibers take off any dead skin, this leaves you with a fresh face.

I love doing this mask on the weekends while I relax. I keep it on for 20 minutes and during those 20 minutes I like to read a book or magazine and have a cup of tea.

Another reason I enjoy using this mask so much is because it helps with my oily skin. My skin gets very oily and I can feel self-conscious about it at times so when I use this it keeps my face moisturized but also shine free. Check out the product for yourself HERE. You can keep up with Valentia on Instagram and Facebook.

Chia Seed Pudding+Recipe

Processed with VSCO

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Hey guys! I figured it was time for me to post a recipe on here. I love to write, you all know that. But I also LOVE to cook, I also love to cook for others. Ask any of my roommates and they will tell you that I’m always in our kitchen. It relaxes me and gives me an excuse to try new recipes.

Being diabetic means monitoring what you eat. It’s a very important part of managing the disease. College can make this hard for me. I’m always on the go and unfortunately I find myself eating one meal a day or snacking on junk throughout the day. My anxiety plays a role in what I eat as well. Carbs make me happy, junk food makes me happy, so I eat it thinking my anxiety will calm down. This is very wrong though, processed food and just junk make me feel worst.

Growing up we followed a very healthy “diet”. I didn’t start eating crap until college actually. But I’ve found a way to go back to my healthy old habits.

Chia seeds just happen to be my favorite food right now. They’re full of omega-3 fatty acid and fiber. They’re also really cool because when you add liquid to them they swell up and turn into a gelatin consistency.

Chia seed pudding is a great way to use chia seeds, you can customize the pudding anyway you like and it stores well in the refrigerator.

¼ cup of chia seeds

1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk( this recipe is vegan, but you’re completely allowed to use your favorite milk)

REAL maple syrup or honey (depends if you’re making this vegan)

Fruit of your choice to top it with

Mix the chia seeds with your milk, a small amount of your sweetener, and let it sit overnight or for a few hours covered in the refrigerator.

Stir every so often to avoid your lumpiness

When ready put fruit on top and drizzle with more sweetener.

This recipe is great if you’re always on the go. Add chia seeds to other parts of your diet. I recently made banana bread granola and added chia seeds.

I’ll post that granola recipe sometime soon, until then enjoy this yummy chia seed pudding!
