I hate to admit it but I’m that person that follows the royal weddings even though I’m American. But to my defense, the royal wedding coming up is kind of a big deal because Prince Harry is marrying the gorgeous American actress Meghan Markle. I’ll be honest I’ve never watched an episode of Suits in my life but I’m sure Meghan is great on it. I will say that I love her style. It’s clean, chic, and minimal.
Before the Royal wedding on May 19th ( my 26th birthday by the way) I wanted to give you all a guide on how to get her style. So I chose some pieces that you all could buy to recreate one of her looks from the royal tour her and Prince Harry have been on. This particular look is from their stop in Northern Ireland. I love this outfit for two reasons. The first reason is that there’s not a lot going on but it looks well put together. The second reason is that the green from her skirt really makes this pop. This would be a great outfit for spring. If it was actually Spring here in Ohio.
I’ll keep this post short and sweet and of course, I’ll include links to all of the items. ENJOY!
I’m super excited to share with something! I’m currently going through the process of getting my natural curls back. I’ve had relaxed hair for awhile but now I am ready to have my natural curls back. Lately I’ve been wearing a lot of protective hairstyles. My favorite so far are crochet braids.
That’s why I’m super excited to tell you all about Black Hairspray. Particularly their crochet braids hair. Black Hairspray is an online beauty store that sells thousands of hair products and even wigs! What I love most about this website is that you don’t have to be a professional to know what you’re getting.
I’m in love with the crochet style because it protects my hair and honestly it just looks cute! I love the curly styles but you can get anything because so much is offered.
I would definitely check out Black Hairspray if you are looking for affordable hair products. With going natural it’s really important to be gentle to your new growth. Wearing protective hairstyles is a key to this if you don’t plan on doing the “big chop”. I definitely want to share this journey with you all. So if you are interested please let me know and I will start documenting it. I’m obviously no expert on natural hair so I have tons of questions. It would be great for us to be able to support each other.
I hope you all check out this amazing website. I’ll be posting again soon!
I’ll be honest I couldn’t finish The Dark Tower so I’ll just be jumping right into my next book in the book review series. If you’ve been following my blog and social media for awhile you know how much I love Sharon Tate. One of her most famous roles was her portrayal as Jennifer in Valley of the Dolls. I love that movie more than words can describe so I won’t waste so much time confessing my love for it.
However, I am very excited to start this book and give you all a review. I chose Valley of the Dolls for February because this book has so much love in it. Romantic love and love between friends. I’m on a 60’s kick right now so that’s the other reason for this book choice. As always I hope you all join me in reading this. Sorry for the last review, I promise to stick with this.
I’ll just be completely honest and tell you what’s been going on. My family and I have recently moved into our own home after living in a domestic violence shelter for almost five months. That explains the lack of posts on here. My depression and OCD have also been an unfortunate factor.
However I’m ready to get back into the swing of things. I want this blog to really be my current loves. If you’ve been following me for awhile you will know that I love handbags. If I could have any accessory I would always choose handbags.
When I think of designer bags Versace doesn’t typically come to mind but ever since last year and I saw Gigi Hadid carry is gorgeous creation I can’t help but be in love with the brand again. The Versace Palazzo satchel is perfection
Everything about this bag is incredible. From the butter soft leather to the black hardware I would love.to own this beauty. Obviously this is out of my budget right now but a girl can dream right?
The strap is a plus because I have to use both hands to push my wheelchair I need something handsfree. Even if you don’t have a disability this bag will also be helpful with the strap.
You probably can tell from some of my photos but I have very thick hair. When it isn’t straightened my hair is full, curly, and sometimes frizzy. The frizz is what I dislike the most. I always knew that silk (pillow cases) were a great way to prevent frizz and keep your hair healthy, but I never took the plunge to buy one. I never thought about how my hair ties could be causing damage. I mean I definitely feel the hair being ripped out from my head. That’s why I switched to scrunchies. Now I’m in love with silk scrunchies..
I received these from Silk Hair Designs. They are seriously the best scrunchies I have ever used! I love how soft they are. I love how they slide out of my hair without ripping some of my hair out. They come out with ease.
I know some people feel like scrunchies are outdated but I actually think they’re super fashionable. Some of the top social media influencers have been wearing them. So don’t let that uncertainty discourage you from wearing scrunchies.
It’s hard to choose what color I love more. But I have a weakness for green and that emerald green is a favorite of mine. I also enjoy the different sizes. The white is a great statement piece and the gray is a great everyday hair tie.
I’m very excited about these and as simple as they are it’s the little things that make me smile.
I really hope you all try out these. They’re affordable and durable. If you have thick hair like me give these a try.
*I was sent these for review, all opinions are my own.
There’s something about a nice fragrance that I love. It’s the last step in my morning routine and for me, it makes a huge difference. I have a few favorite scents but I’m normally pretty open about trying new fragrances out. Etoile Atelier was super kind and sent me their sample collection of fragrances.
I’ll start off by saying how much I love the size of this. You get 8 of their fragrance oils, This is great because you can test out each one and figure out which one you like best. My favorites are “You Belong” and “Eau Salee”. I actually love mixing those two together. These are oils so they will last longer and throughout the day blend in with your natural scent.
Being able to try out these fragrances has been a top part of my week (I’m not even kidding). Smelling nice fragrances helps me during anxiety attacks, and between us, I’ve had my fair share lately so these have been incredible for me to just focus on something good when my mind goes somewhere bad. I love how fresh these scents are and how they are not very sweet smelling. They have a very mature and fresh smell to all of them.
The best part about the oils is that you know that you won’t have to reapply throughout the day. You can purchase your own sample box here.
Let me know your favorite scents when you get it. What is your favorite fragrance?

It’s such a cliche thing to say but it’s really true that you can only take care of others if you take care of yourself. Try not to look at it as being selfish but instead look at it as making an investment in yourself.
Self-care is important for your overall health. Mental and physical. There’s also no wrong way with doing self-care you should do it the way you feel it will benefit you the best way. For me taking a long hot shower and doing a skin care routine makes me feel a million times better. I feel refreshed and renewed.
A big mug of hot tea also helps me feel more relaxed and a comfy sweater and good book even makes the mood better. You definitely don’t need an extravagant routine it can be as simple as taking a walk or painting your nails.
For a long time, I always felt like self-care was a selfish act but it’s actually the complete opposite. It’s okay for me to better myself and take care of my own needs. I can give to others and still give to myself.
Below I have a list of things you can do to practice self care:
I don’t think I’ve done a giveaway on this blog in the 4 years I’ve been running it. If you ask me I think it’s long overdue to offer you guys some goodies.
As you all know I love skincare and especially skincare with natural ingredients. I also love Etsy shops so when I came across Jessica’s I knew I had to do something beyond an Etsy Shop Spotlight. Check out her Etsy shop HERE and her website HERE to learn more about products!
Here’s the list of things one lucky winner will receive here’s what’s included in The complete Set of Magic Mugwort & Rose Facial care:
Moisturizing Face Serum
This extremely moisturizing and nourishing face serum is a magical and precious blend of the finest oils for skincare.
To Use: Rub 1-2 drops onto clean skin
Ingredients: Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, essential oils of Rose, Carrot Seed, Mugwort and Jasmine and Essences of Full Moon, Rose & Rose Quartz
Herbal Manuka Honey Face Wash
This herbal honey face wash is so magical and amazing for your skin that you will never want to use another face cleanser again. Manuka honey makes an excellent facial cleanser and toner. It is mild enough to be used on a regular basis and better than chemical cleaners any day. The hygroscopic nature of honey draws out the dirt and grime trapped in the hair follicles and facilitates the free flow of natural oils. Manuka honey has a pH around 4.5 which helps lower the skin pH, keeping it optimally acidic. Alkalinity makes the skin dry and prone to eczema and other skin disorders. Antibacterial and antifungal action of manuka honey help to control the microbial overload in the skin pores and prevents acne. With the addition of Rose Clay this cleanser draws impurities from the skin as the powdered oats and herbs gently exfoliate and nourish the skin with their anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
When using as a mask apply manuka honey in a thin layer and work it in. It helps to cover the face with a wet towel wrung out in warm water. This will make the honey penetrate deeper into the skin. It also allows the honey to hydrate the skin by drawing in water and acting as a humectant. Use a moisturizer after washing off the honey.
Ingredients: Manuka Honey, Rose Clay, Gluten Free Oats, Rose, Calendula, Lavender, Mugwort and Essences of Full Moon, Rose and Rose Quartz for Unconditional Self Love
Mask & Cleansing Grains
This Rose Clay and Oat based can be used weekly as a mask or 2-3 times a week as a gentle exfoliant to renew, cleanse and protect the skin.
French Rose Clay with rhassoul is a gentle, exfoliating and polishing treatment appropriate for all skin conditions. Actively draws pimples and blackheads to the surface leaving skin clear, clean and refreshed. Clay is alive. It is rich in silica, calcium, iron and magnesium. It shimmers with electromagnetic energy. Used for thousands of years to treat skin, it is appropriate for all skin conditions. Clay loosens clogged pores drawing impurities to the surface without dissolving the protective epidermal layer. It exfoliates dry, dead skin cells increasing tone and clarity. It absorbs excess oil, refines and softens fine lines and wrinkles, and fades the appearance of hyper-pigmentation and scarring. Highly mineralized, French Rose Clay provides deep nourishment to help support and strengthen the cells of the skin. It also increases circulation and oxygenation to the surface of the skin. The herbal combination of rose, calendula, lavender and mugwort has a nourishing and beautifying effect due to anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
To use as a mask mix 2 tbsp and enough water to make a paste and apply to the skin and let dry. rinse with warm water after about 15 minutes.

Jessica also wanted you all to know more about her so here is her bio:
“I am a postpartum doula and mother of a pagan family. I am a certified herbalist and nutrition consultant focused on new family wellness. My daughters and I make all of the products according to the moon phases, mixing and infusing on the new moon, decanting and harvesting with the full. Although I have been making herbal medicines, flower, moon & gem essences and body products for so many years, I have just recently turned it into a business. The 13 moon phase essences are extremely unique in that they are the only set of essences completely focused on the moon and her energies. It is an extremely potent and magical set of essences that harnesses the energies of flowers, gems and moon phases in order to unlock our truest potential and help us to transcend the blockages which are keeping us from our divinity.
The Enchanted Elixirs are made with so much love and magic. These herbal liquers are filled with the best quality ingredients and are handcrafted with the moon phases. They are each created under the new moon, infused for 6 weeks and decanted under the second full moon. Each is enchanted with a spell and kissed by the moon herself. Not only are these cordials filled with nourishing herbs and so much medicine but they also taste divine. All of our products are made with love and magic from our family to you and yours!”
I love to read and books are a huge part of my life. I write them and read them so you can definitely understand why. I thought I would share my book wish list with you all. Also, it would be great if you all could recommend some books in the comment section. Thank you!
I’m a huge Sharon Tate fan and style definitely inspires mine. I think it’s important to remember her for her grace and beauty instead of the terrible way her life ended. This book is full of photographs and recollections from her sister Debra (who wrote it), her family, and friends. I think this book is a great way to celebrate her life. This book is definitely something I would love to read. Also, not book related but how would all feel about a Sharon Tate inspired makeup look?
I actually owe you all a HUGE book review on this series. But I can’t do it until I read this book which is the last. Even as I type this I’m trying to find the words to describe how magical these books are. I know the last is probably just as good. If you don’t mind reading children’s books(this one is nearly 600 pages), fantasy and books with really good amazing illustrations definitely read this series. when I get the extra funds I’ll pick this one up to complete my collection and give you the whole review.
Growing up my favorite movie was Stephen King’s It. I still love the movie and when the new one comes out this year I’ll be first in line. I love Stephen King and I’ve read most of the classics but for some reason not got around to reading this. I would to like start reviewing more horror books on here for you all if that’s something you’ll be into.
I have a book wish list on Amazon HERE. I update more on Amazon than Goodreads so I figured it would be better for you all to keep up with what I want to read or have already read.
If you recommend me a book I will add it to the wish list so don’t be shy in the comments.
