Midwest Chili


I named this Midwest Chili because I’m from the Midwest and this is how I’ve always had chili. Thursday I decided to make chili, Here is the recipe. Also, don’t be afraid to add your favorite ingredients and toppings.

Tbsp of chopped garlic,1 serrano pepper,left whole.

3 8oz cans of tomato sauce,1 Tbsp of tomato paste.
3 8oz cans of tomato sauce,1 Tbsp of tomato paste.
1 Tbsp sugar,1 tbsp chili powder,2 tsp cayenne pepper,black peeper(to taste) 1 Tbsp cumin
1 Tbsp sugar,1 tbsp chili powder,2 tsp cayenne pepper,black pepper/salt(to taste) 1 Tbsp cumin
1 pound of ground beef(brown,drain fat)

  1. Brown ground beef,drain,and add whole serrano pepper,garlic,and seasonings.
  2. Add tomato sauce,tomato paste,and 4 cups of water. Let cook for 20 minutes.
  3. Taste for flavor,add canned kidney beans(optional) cook for another 20 minutes. Top with sour cream,cheese,or Tabasco sauce.
